A challenge of a different sort, from my homeslice Pierre.
Flash Element TD is a flash-based online game that can get pretty addictive. Pierre has been wasting time playing this game religiously and wants everyone who reads this blog to play the game. He’s personally guaranteed that no one can beat his high score, which you can witness in the picture below.
I’ve decided to up the ante.
Anyone who can beat his high score will not only be Mayor of Awesome Town for a week, but I will arrange a photoshoot (somehow, perhaps through the magic of photoshop) of Pierre submitting to your awesomeness, and post the picture here. Trust me, it will be golden. If no one can beat his high score, then Pierre will be Mayor of Awesome Town, and I will post a picture of him that will describe why “Pierre Is Too Awesome For You.”

I found out over the wee-end that you can submit your score on-line and see the best results vs the rest of the world over the last 5 hours. I was happy to see that I constantly rank in the top 1000, but stunned to see that people can get north of 200,000 points at that game.
I’ve since retired from the game, partly because of the long way to go to world domination, partly because of Natalie calling me a nerd for the last 3 days.

I think those over 200,000 have to be hacks. There’s no way you could get that high without cheating. That being said, I think I could do better – anyone close? Ah, sweet unemployment…
Okay, someone just sent me a screenshot and his score was 241,417. I’m trying to figure out who he is. That’s a ridiculous score!
Let’s track him down and torture him until he tells us the secret!!!!

I’ve been reading the forum… Apparently it is possible to get over 200000 in score. There are some walkthroughs that’ll guarantee you at least that good of a score.
The interesting story is the identity of this mystery person who sent me a screenshot of the ridiculous score. It’s the same person who’s #22 on the leaderboard, named “PierreSux.” Well, it’s not some random because they have my email address, so it’s someone playing a neat prank. Well Played. But still, that’s a crazy score, so I will be posting the hilarious picture “he” sent me and will make it Mayor of Awesome Town.
Unless, of course, one of you slackers manages to beat the high score of 247,702.

Actually, I figured it was you because you mentioned the a stupid “red haired freak.” That being Dan, guilty by association came to mind.
I believe the phrase was “READ HEAD PANSY BOY”…and isn’t that what pretty much everyone calls him behind his back? Zovat is an old friend of mine- primarly used for signing up to websites and taking the spam deluge.
Just for the record- the secret to getting a good score is to be frugal and only put things where you get two passes at the creeps- NOT in the middle where they’re in range longer but only for one pass. The secret to getting a ridiculous score is to only upgrade the interest and hold them off with a million cannons overlapping each other (which takes wayyyy too long for anyone without an inordinate amount of time on their hands).
